How VirusTotal Uploader works is very simple. Once installed on your computer, you can analyze any file stored on your hard drive by means of one of these two methods:
- Selecting the file from the Windows Explorer and right clicking. Then all you have to do is choose the “Send To” option and then “VirusTotal” from the context menu.
- Launching the application and using the “Select file(s) and Upload” feature.
Once you have uploaded the file that you want to check, a web page will open where you’ll be able to see the results of the analysis carried out by more than 20 well-known antivirus engines, among which you’ll find: Avast, AVG, BitDefender, Comodo, McAfee, NOD32 and Panda.
